Serenity has a masters degree in school counseling and clinical counseling. She has lived in Colorado almost her whole life, has lived in Summit County since 2013 and has worked in the district since 2014. Serenity loves her three children and summers in Summit. She is looking forward to helping students at SHS be their best selves.

Robby moved to Summit County in 2012 from Atlanta, Georgia. He fell in love with SHS and Summit County working as a campus supervisor while completing graduate school. He is a licensed school counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Adams State University. Before his return to SHS in 2021, he worked as a school counselor in Leadville, CO and East Flat Rock, NC. Robby enjoys snowboarding, hiking, biking, live music, travel, sugary treats, and everything about the Georgia Bulldogs.

Born and raised in Chicago, Rich moved to Colorado in 1989 to attend CU Boulder. After college Rich moved to Telluride for some professional development in snowboarding and ski town living. Rich discovered his love for working with kids and counseling by working in wilderness therapy in the Capital Reef area of Utah. After earning a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Denver University, Rich started working as a school counselor. Rich loves his job as a counselor and loves working with the students of Summit High School!
Kelly Finley

Kelly is the Lead School Counselor and the Counseling Department’s Building Leader. Kelly is a closet Texan, receiving two Bachelor degrees from the University of North Texas and a Masters degree in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. She has lived and worked in Summit County since 2012. Kelly enjoys camping and visiting National Parks, rainbows, unicorns and Dr. Pepper.
Anita Ferrell

Anita is the School Psychologist for SHS, and also serves as the Program Coordinator for Summit County Day Treatment Programs. Anita’s unique path has led her from a career in animal and biomedical research to the world of psychology and education. A Midwesterner through and through, she received her Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University (Animal Science, Biotechnology), two Master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Animal Science, Molecular Genetics; Educational Psychology, Counseling Psychology) and Doctor of Psychology degree in School Psychology from the University of Colorado-Denver. She lived in and around Denver for her first 8 years in Colorado, and has called Summit County home since 2019. Anita is an active yogi, meditator and Reiki master. She enjoys family time, hiking, skiing, music and all things Colorado. Anita is passionate about supporting young individuals as they grow into their strengths, and is continually inspired by the students and families of Summit School District!
Anna Howden

Anna is a licensed school psychologist. She is originally from a Western suburb of Chicago, IL and has lived in Summit County since 2009 enjoying skiing, biking, and most things outdoors. Anna has an EdS degree in Child, Family, and School Psychology from The University of Denver and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Development from the University of Illinois. Anna is thrilled to be coordinating our peer led Sources of Strength program and is amazed by all the ways our students are being inclusive and spreading messages of hope, help, and strength while proactively engaging in suicide, violence, and substance abuse prevention.

Neta is a born and raised Summit County local who graduated from Summit High School in 2001. After receiving her BA in Communication and Anthropology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Neta returned to Summit County and started working at SHS in the fall of 2013. Stefanie Kremer

Stefanie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She was born in Toronto, Canada but mostly grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived in Germany for a few years. She has been in Colorado since 2017 and has lived in Summit County since 2019. Stefanie has a Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Denver which she earned in 2019. Stefanie loves being a social worker and enjoys working with students and their families at SHS to problem solve, connect to supports, and improve their mental health. She works with individuals with trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, life transitions, and addiction. Stefanie enjoys hiking, yoga, gardening, music, and cooking.
Melinda DeBee
Counseling Department Administrative Assistant

Melinda received her BS in General Studies with an emphasis in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma. She worked primarily in the legal field as an administrative assistant and moved to Summit County in 2018. Most recently, she worked for the Summit County District Attorney’s office for four years before joining the Summit High School Counseling Department team as their administrative assistant trading crime for kids.
